Abandoned Painting Idea

I liked a lot of this, but something was rubbing me the wrong way. Abandoned this one unfinished, but will try to take a different spin on it sometime soon.

Gone Fishin'

This is the painting I did during my live digital painting workshop, which happened last Saturday. The student participation was just great, and made for a fun environment for me to paint and teach in. I think it shows in the painting too! The recording of the workshop is available for streaming from my art store!

Digital Painting Workshop

Good news! I am announcing a series of online digital painting workshops. I plan to do one every four months or so. The first workshop is scheduled for May 11 and is available for signup through my store. Register now for early-bird prices!

I am gearing these workshops toward anyone who is interested in taking their work to the next level. Some fundamental knowledge of painting will be assumed of the students, but beginners can also benefit from this workshop. I will be talking about painting from imagination, and communicating effectively to an audience through your artwork. There will be a live chat during the workshop, where I'll be answering any and all questions. I'd love to see you there!

Muppets Songs!

I love The Muppets. One of my all-time favourite songs is 'Rainbow Connection', which is the tune that Kermit sang on the log with a banjo in the original Muppet Movie. I just finished recording my own version of the tune. Hope it brings back good memories!

New Job

Just started as a visual development artist on a really cool project over at Guru Studio in Toronto. Won't be updating the ol' blog quite as frequently...as most of my paintings will probably be top secret for the time being. Will share stuff when I can!

Story Art

I'm teaching a life drawing class at a local college this semester. Not only do I get paid to attend life drawing (finally!) I also didn't realize how much I missed it. I was drawing with ballpoint pen and marker today. A 5 min pose.

The Bucci Bros - Family Cover Band!

My Music!

Introducing my musical side-project! I've been writing songs lately, and have a lot of talented musician friends to record with. I called the project Disbanded because the band lineup changes with each song. We record at my home studio - tons of fun. (And yes, that's me on vocals.)

Flying

My favourite parts of flying are the takeoffs and landings. I was touching down in Toronto this morning and took a mental snapshot of the scene I saw out the window. This is the memory-painting right after I got home. Practice, people!
